The Shipman Family

We are the Shipmans! We're your normal family that had our lives forever changed the day that our sweet boy, Luke, was born on December 3, 2021. Luke was unexpectedly born with a large VSD (ventricular septal defect) in his heart, he spent 47 days in the NICU, and had open heart surgery at three months old.

The many friends, families, doctors, nurses, and complete strangers that were there for us in our darkest days have inspired us to give back to those in similar situations as we were in 2021 & 2022.  

Our goal is to help bring comfort to all the little warriors fighting in the NICU at Levine Children's Hospital during the holidays (and throughout the year) and bring comfort to those families during the toughest times by letting them know they are not alone. 

Every holiday season, Luke will be delivering all the donated Wubs to Levine Children's Hospital, along with other events throughout the year. In 2022, he delivered 62 Wubs on December 19th!
